Registration for Recognition of Foreign Halal Certification Body (FHCB)

1. This recognition is granted to the FHCB as stated in the Letter of Appointment and does not applicable to any branches of the FHCB.
2. The Recognized Foreign Halal Certification Body (FHCB) shall comply with Procedures for Appointment of Foreign Halal Certification Bodies.
3. The FHCB shall ensure that the implementation of halal certification is compliance with Malaysian halal requirements as stated in the Malaysia Standards, The Malaysian Protocol for Meat and Poultry Halal Production, Malaysia Halal Certification Circular and Malaysia Fatwa`s.
4. The FHCB shall not conduct in a matter that against the Malaysian Law and the law in the origin country.
5. The FHCB shall agree to be investigated/audited and make all the necessary arrangements for JAKIM to conduct the review and unannounced surveillance audit.
6. The FHCB shall not misuse the Malaysian halal Logo, JAKIM’s Mark and the code of arm of Malaysia.
7. The FHCB shall notify the JAKIM should there any changes in ownership, structure of the organization and/or any changes related to the FHCB.
8. The FHCB shall ensure that the certified products exported to Malaysia fulfilled the halal certification requirement during the validity of the Halal Certificate.
9. The FHCB shall ensure that all necessary arrangement are taken care for JAKIM to have unlimited access (including documentation and records, locations and personnel) to ascertain continuous compliance with the JAKIM’s recognition procedure.
10. The FHCB shall allow the participation of observers (if applicable) to accompany and witness the recognition audit process at the FHCB office and clients premise.
11. The FHCB shall take any action to prevent from the misuse of the FHCB’s halal certificate and halal logo.
12. The FHCB shall immediately notify JAKIM without any delay on any changes of the halal logo, halal certificate and consignment note format and authorized signatory person that may affect the exportation of certified product to Malaysia.
13. JAKIM have the right not to renew the recognition without further explain after the expiration of the recognition.
14. The FHCB must comply with the decisions of JAKIM as a competent authority in recognition of FHCB in Malaysia.
15. The decision by the International Halal Recognition Verification Committee and any committees in JAKIM is final.
16. The Halal certificate for each scheme must be kept up to date.
